DASSM: What Is It?
DASSM is an abbreviation for Disciplined Agile Senior Scrum Master. It is a course for experienced Agile practitioners that teaches them how to delve further into Agile and effectively apply the DA (Disciplined Agile) toolbox as a Scrum Master in their professional career. It is a 14 PDU course that will prepare you to take the DASSM test and begin using the DA toolset to develop your leadership abilities right now.
You will learn the ins and outs of the DA toolset, the hundreds of methods and practices it offers, and the tradeoffs. You will also learn how to use the DA tools and select the most effective method of resolving an issue or increasing productivity.
It will also educate you on addressing complicated problems in software and operational business teams from various sectors. Not to add that you will be trained to deliver the most value to the client and to make decisions that lead to that, all while performing enterprise operations such as planning, coordination, and reporting.
Who Should Pursue DASSM Certification?
Unlike other Scrum certificates, DASSM is a senior-level certification that requires a prior understanding of the DA toolset and Scrum teams.
At least two years of experience in leadership roles such as DASM, Scrum Master, or Product Owner in an Agile team is required.
Interested individuals must also grasp the fundamentals of the DA tool kit by completing at least one of the following: Read part 1 or more of Choose Your WoW (way of work) or Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM) course or The Basics of Disciplined Agile online course.
Meet the aforementioned prerequisites and want to pursue a career in Scrum. You may consider completing the DASSM certification course to jumpstart your career as an Agile practitioner or Scrum Master.
How Do I Obtain DASSM Certification?
DASSM certification, like most Agile and Scrum-based certifications, is quite simple to obtain, assuming you match the prerequisites and are qualified for the course. The accreditation is supplied by PMI (Project Management Institute). However, the course instruction and coaching are provided by various online establishments, including significant industry heavyweights.
After enrolling in your instructor-led program, you must complete the 16 hours of live training given by your institute/organization to be eligible to take the DASSM certification test.
After completing the course, you can take the DASSM certification test. You should have received an invitation to take the DASSM test, and the exam expenses should have been included in your course fees.
You will have 30 days following the conclusion of your course to take the certification exam. If you do not pass the first time, you will have two further retakes within 30 days. However, retakes will now cost extra money.
