Xiaomi introduced a smartphone with an “island” like the iPhone

Xiaomi introduced the Xiaomi Civi 2 smartphone in  China , which received a cutout for two 32-megapixel selfie cameras and a new Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. This is reported by the Gizmochina portal.

Xiaomi Civi 2 has a 6.55-inch curved OLED display with Full HD + resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Claimed peak brightness of up to 1000 nits. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 tempered glass.

The Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 persistent storage are responsible for the performance of the new product.

Xiaomi Civi 2 received a triple camera on the rear panel – a 50-megapixel main camera with support for optical stabilization (OIS), a 20-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2-megapixel macro module.

A distinctive feature of the smartphone is its front camera, which is built into a cutout that looks similar to Dynamic Island from the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. These are two 32-megapixel sensors – the main one with autofocus support and an additional ultra-wide-angle module.

The battery in the Civi 2 received a capacity of 4500 mAh and support for fast charging with a power of 67 watts. Among other features, the presence of NFC, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, a linear vibration motor and an infrared port for controlling equipment are announced. The smartphone runs on Android 12 with a pre-installed MIUI 13 proprietary shell.

Xiaomi Civi 2 has already gone on sale in China at a price of 2.4 thousand yuan (about 19.4 thousand rubles) for the version with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of permanent memory. Modifications of 8/256 and 12/256 GB are also available. It is assumed that outside of China, the smartphone will appear under the name Xiaomi 12 Lite NE.

Earlier, Gazeta.Ru said that Apple predicted a collapse in the Russian smartphone market, as Xiaomi, Realme and Honor smartphones will take its place.
